An Introduction to Starframe Chronicle

Welcome to Starframe Chronicle, where the enchantment of filmmaking comes alive.

When I was a kid, I longed to go to the movies and lose myself in the bigger than life stories and characters on that huge screen. The time I spent in the movie theater was a total escape from “real” life. I would grab popcorn and a large soda, always making sure we got to our seats in time for the trailers. I had to see what other big or interesting movie was coming out. (One of my favorite childhood memory is going to see Spiderman 2. It was magic!)

Sitting in the darkness of the theater, I was entranced from the beginning to the end of whatever movie was playing, my own imagination running wild. It wasn’t only the story and the characters, though. It always interested me how they made these movies and part of me always wanted to be in them, I wanted to be part of making the magic. So that’s how I got started today, venturing out to be an actor.

That’s all I wanted to do: act in films that showcase emotions while telling a wonderful story. But when I started, I realized real quick how little I knew and how much there was to learn. There were so many tools and methods and techniques it was hard to keep up at times but deep down I knew how much I loved it. So I kept at it, and I started to book gigs as background characters on sets, and I have begun to see how much work went into making films.

The best films tell great stories so I started writing scripts, learning the writing process of filmmaking, and I quickly learned that I enjoyed telling stories through scriptwriting as much as I enjoyed  acting in film.

The more sets I was getting on the more I was learning about the entire filmmaking process as well as the industry as a whole and the more I learned, the more interested I was.  I was learning more skills to the point where I was on sets, both in front of and behind the camera. I was part of the process, just like I dreamed when I was a kid in that theater watching Spiderman 2! I continue my filmmaking journey learning camera skills in college and making my own stories come to life.

And now, a blog with a mission.
